Karen Sandene, Bassoon/Contrabassoon

Karen juggles her musical life of playing bassoon and contrabassoon with the Omaha and Lincoln Symphonies with teaching elementary instrumental music for LPS, directing church choir, raising three children with her husband Mike McNeil, and maintaining her 117-year-old Italianate home and garden.  An Omaha native and graduate of UNL, Karen was co-founder of the Third Chair Chamber Players, and has also performed with the Kansas City Symphony, Omaha Symphony Chamber Orchestra, Sioux City and Des Moines Symphonies, and Lincoln Municipal Band.  Karen enjoys digging up obscure pieces of music to inflict on Lincoln audiences, and she would be happy to analyze your home or work space for its flow of Chi.
