New Music Agency Summer Concerts
Saturday Evening, June 26, 7:00 p.m.
Sunday Afternoon, July 11, 2:00 p.m.

Lincoln Unitarian Church - 63rd and "A" Street, Lincoln, NE

(for more info, contact the New Music Agency at 429-4090 or info@newmusicagency.org)

The New Music Agency begins its second season by doing live concert music in Lincoln, during the summer!

The evening concert on June 26th has kind of a James Bond/Action and Adventure-thing going on.  Come in out of the heat, hear some cool music, done in about an hour (just like LensCrafters...), then enjoy the rest of your evening - the night will still be young.

The afternoon concert on Sunday, July 11th will be a great one to bring the kids to; we'll be featuring creative and whimsical music about animals, (just don't come expecting "The Carnival of the Animals" or "Peter and the Wolf" - we'll let others take care of those classic tunes!)  AND...there will be treat bags for the kids!

Hope to see you there!

Program for Sunday, July 11 - The Agency Animal Show:

Rusty Banks:  Taxonomy for clarinet and flute.  A piece about different "families" of snakes.

Daniel Dorff:  Dance Music (Mr. Mouse Dances and Dies
) for eb clarinet and piano.  Oh, dear!

Danny Ashworth:  Exploding Carousels for clarinet, cello and piano.  Alabama composer's work inspired by "unpleasant childhood memories".

Leonard Bernstein:  Elegy for Mippy II for solo trombone.  Bernstein's homage to his brother's deceased dog.

Peter Schickele:  Panther Dance from Dutch Suite for bassoon and euphonium.  Yes, a PDQ Bach thing, based on Mancini's Pink Panther theme.  Fun!
