New Music Agency Summer Concerts
Evening, June 26, 7:00 p.m.
Sunday Afternoon, July 11, 2:00 p.m.
Lincoln Unitarian Church - 63rd and "A" Street, Lincoln,
(for more info, contact the New
Music Agency at 429-4090 or firstname.lastname@example.org)
The New Music Agency begins its second season
by doing live concert music in Lincoln, during the summer!
The evening concert on June 26th has kind of a James
Bond/Action and Adventure-thing going on. Come in out
of the heat, hear some cool music, done in about an hour (just like LensCrafters...),
then enjoy the rest of your evening - the night will still be young.
The afternoon concert on Sunday, July 11th will be a great one
to bring the kids to; we'll be featuring creative and whimsical music
about animals, (just don't come expecting "The Carnival of the Animals"
or "Peter and the Wolf" - we'll let others take care of those classic tunes!)
AND...there will be treat bags for the kids!
Hope to see you there!
for Sunday, July 11 - The Agency Animal Show:
Taxonomy for clarinet and flute. A piece about different "families" of snakes.
Daniel Dorff: Dance Music
(Mr. Mouse Dances and Dies) for eb clarinet and piano. Oh,
Exploding Carousels for clarinet, cello and piano. Alabama
composer's work inspired by "unpleasant childhood memories".
Elegy for Mippy II for solo trombone.
Bernstein's homage to his brother's deceased
Panther Dance from Dutch Suite
for bassoon and euphonium. Yes, a PDQ Bach thing,
based on Mancini's Pink Panther theme. Fun!
